五結鄉大眾社區

大眾社區俗稱一百甲，舊時流傳「田作一百甲、長工四百名、牛隻九十二、歇睏松仔腳、居住茅仔寮」，顯示本區田多地廣。後來因區內的大眾廟改名大眾村，也是大眾社區所在地。冬山河和蘭陽溪都由本區注入太平洋。本區居民以務農為主，農閒之餘以簡易竹筏、舢舨和鴨母船進行隨機灑網捕撈魚蝦。本次計畫即以社區生活經驗和食農教育體驗為主軸，邀請本縣小太陽兒童劇團吳振芳老師進行表演藝術培訓課程，召集社區居民參與社區劇團，依社區故事編寫腳本擴大排演，激發在地的集體共識。

Wujie Township’s Dazhong Community

Dazhong Community is colloquially known as One Hundred Jia. Jia is a unit of area equal to about one hectare. An old saying goes, “Plant one hundred jia, 400 workers and 92 cows, nap under a pine tree, life in Maozailiao”, which evokes the large size of this settlement. Dazhong Village got its name from local Dazhong Temple, and is now known as Dazhong Community. The Dongshan and Lanyang Rivers both flow into the Pacific Ocean here. Residents are primarily farmers, who in their spare time bring out their simple bamboo rafts, sampans, and duck herding boats to catch fish or shrimp in their nets. For this phase of the project, the community is focusing on local life and agriculture education experiences. They invited Wu Chen-fang from Yilan’s Little Sun Children’s Performance Group to hold a performance art training course and encouraged local residents to participate in the community theater group. Performances were based on scripts written about the community’s own stories, which help to build a collective identity among residents.
