蘇澳鎮朝陽社區

朝陽社區位在蘇澳鎮東南方，以蘇花公路和南澳鄉為鄰。海岸山脈、朝陽龜山和烏石鼻海岬守護出海作業的居民，每天傍晚喜迎「船入烏石鼻，船艙漁獲滿滿是」。日治時期新竹關西人士進入本區製樟腦油，攜帶令旗和印鑑驅除瘴癘保佑平安，興建天后宮成為信仰中心。蘇花古道大南澳越嶺段和朝陽步道近年吸引觀光人潮，透過訪談耆老、資料收集到拍攝紀錄片，居民追求兼顧地景、生態和在地生活的發展願景。

Su’ao Township’s Chaoyang Community

Located in southeastern Su’ao Township, Chaoyang Community neighbors the Suhua Highway and Nan’ao Township. The Coastal Mountain Range, Chaoyang Guishan Mountain, and Wushibi Cape protect the seafaring locals. Each day at dusk, residents welcome the boats laden with their catch as they enter Wushibi. During the Japanese Colonial Period, people from Guanxi in Hsinchu moved to the area to produce camphor oil. They brought with them flags and seals to ward off diseases and bring blessings. Tianhou Temple was built, becoming the center of local religious life. The Danan’ao section of the Suhua Historic Trail and Chaoyang Trail have attracted many tourists in recent years. Through interviews with elders, information gathering, and even filming a documentary, residents are seeking a development vision that protects and improves the community’s landscape, ecology, and lifestyle.
